Networks Leadership Symposium 2011
November 14 and 15, 2011
INTER-ORGANIZATIONAL NETWORKS - LEARNING, LEADING, AND LASTING FROM A LIFE CYCLE PERSPECTIVE
Inter-organizational networks – autonomous organizations that partner to reach goals they could not reach alone – respond to the growing need for collective action to bring about social change and to the real world of complexity; the ‘white space’ between academe, professions, disciplines, sectors, cultures, ministries, organizations, and communities; different values and perspectives; different roles; power issues; and the growing need for collective action.
This two-day symposium focuses on the concept of the life cycle of networks - birth, growth, maturity, and death/transformation. Specific emphasis will be placed on learning about networks; leading and managing networks; and, creating the conditions for lasting sustainability of networks.
Anyone interested in exploring both the science and practice of inter-organizational networks and collaboration such as decision makers, practitioners, clinicians, researchers, policy makers, network leaders, students.
